Carmina Lidia Dumitrascu, CEO and Co-founder of VentureBoost Ltd was born in Romania and upon receiving a scholarship from Cornell University moved to the US as a teenager. A summer internship on the floor of the American Stock Exchange was the catalyst for a lifelong interest in the markets and a 10+ years career in financial services as a portfolio manager, trader, published strategist and fundraiser at Credit Suisse, Nomura and a $6 billion multi-strategy hedge fund, across fixed income and equity structured products.
An MBA at London Business School opened new horizons and was the launchpad for Carmina’s entrepreneurial journey.After learning her lessons as an entrepreneur and
eventually growing one of her ventures into a multi-million GBP company, Carmina has partnered with Dr Jay Best, an MIT computer scientist and innovation strategist to found VentureBoost and to explore how blockchain technology can serve as a foundation for the sharing economy. Together with our team, we build technology that makes distributed ledgers easy to use, secure, and future-proof: A personal wealth vault, completely unbreakable and accessible on the go that can hold all of your financial, property, health data and digital identity.
